Winning
Bids
“With David’s guidance, our team secured a deal worth in excess of $53 million.
Competing
in a field of 22 contenders from all over Australia,
the bid leader consulted David Griggs to help communicate that the Adelaide
team had the complete package.
In
a single afternoon – all that was available before the final presentation
– Griggs pushed the key presenter out of his comfort zone to focus the
panel’s attention on the key reasons why choosing Adelaide
was the best decision.
He
made the difference between merely joining the dots between facts and figures,
to inspiring the judging panel to visualize the project.”
Griggs explains, “Judging panels make their decisions
based on a total impression. That includes a conviction
that these are the right people for the job,
and that is not only based on logic.
People will make up their minds within seconds,
often unconsciously.”
Among
many success stories, David coached the presentation bid team that
won the, "2007 World Police and Fire Games" for Adelaide,
and the City
of Charles Sturt team that won the National
Local Government Management
Challenge in 2003.
After
David coached eight South Australian companies for a US
venture capital
conference in 2003, several of these companies went on to raise millions
of dollars in funding and licensing agreements.
"I
have worked with several people going by the title corporate presentation
trainer, from all over Australia,
but I've never seen anyone
who can 'switch' a presenter on the way David does, in a very subtle
yet extraordinarily effective way."
